Curriculum Statement

PE plays a vital role in the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children. Our PE curriculum at Grove Road enriches this growth, providing a range of inclusive, physically active opportunities for pupils of all needs and abilities – distinctly focused on physical literacy and enjoyment. Throughout their PE journey, children will develop stability, balance and coordination alongside fundamental skills applied through areas such as dance, gymnastics and team games. These essential skills, provide a platform for success in competitive team sports and Outdoor Adventure Education, where children will develop tactical understanding and a sense of leadership through effective communication.
