Welcome to Grove Road School
All parents and carers of children at Grove Road school and nursery are automatically a member of the Friends of Grove Road (FOGR). It’s your association.
What is the FOGR
FOGR is an open community of parent and grandparent volunteers working alongside the Head and teachers to benefit the school and ensure the best educational experience for all pupils.
Over the last 3 years Friends of Grove Road raised over £14,000 which has funded projects including a new stage, a playhouse for Nursery, a new fence and recycling bins for the playground, and the School Radio Station - an exciting project which is the first for a school in North Yorkshire and greatly benefits children of all ages.
The good news is, everything the FOGR raises goes directly to the school, and, in consultation with staff, parents have a say on where and how the money is spent.
Get involved
You can make a real difference! The more parents, carers and grandparents involved with FOGR means more money raised through more fun events...benefitting everyone.
Fun
Our events are enjoyed by children, parents, carers, grandparents and teachers alike, and are a great way to bring the community closer together.
So why not Join us?
